Capital Improvement Planning

The City uses the data presented in this section to inform decisions about allocation of resources to improve infrastructure and fixed assets. The policy of the City is to guide the location and timing of development through the proactive and strategic installation of infrastructure in order to ensure an efficient development pattern. The informationĀ in this section helps create consistency between the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and planokc. The pagesĀ in this section (accessed at left) summarize both the Current Conditions and the Criteria for Prioritization decisions about capital improvement projects in six major areas: water, sanitary sewer; fire; parks; streets; and sidewalks. The Current Conditions column acts as a legend for the associated maps, which display the availability of major infrastructure. The Criteria for Prioritization column is used in the process of evaluating projects and allocating funding to match infrastructure with needs.
